Don't know any details other than it was supposedly a single car accident.

He was riding his motorcycle in Port A, when a 16 y/o driver swerved into his lane. The vehicle in front swerved out of the way and Cheif Simpson laid his bike down. His helmet came off of his head some how during he slide. First on the scene were passers by and try attempted CPR until paramedics arrived. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Very sad day in The Coastal Bend indeed. Prayers for his family and for the CCPD family as well.

Very sad news. He was a great guy, met him a number of times and always had a smile, positive attitude, and a great plan for Corpus Christi.
