I have nothing to contribute other than hoping our Osprey returns that we've had show up the last two years around this time of year.

Hi there YouBet. I'm rooting for your Osprey. Mrs WolfCall and I arrived at the Island on October 1st. There are a number of Osprey here already, but not the peak numbers I would expect for late October/November.

We saw a number of Osprey on telephone poles between the Causeway and the turnoff for Port A. Also saw them perched and in flight at Packery Channel. We even saw one eating on a telphone pole on the way to Padre Island National Sea Shore.

Nice. We are in Rockport/Fulton for the record so it's pretty much non-stop bird action at our place. Pretty much a nightly occurrence for me to walk out back and get the piss scared out of me when a giant Blue Heron barks at me before lifting off.

We have one that hangs out on our boat deck most days. The Spoonbills typically fly over in early evening when we see them.

Not sure if there are any birdwatchers in the city of Corpus and north Padre Island (I know it is in Corpus also).

Mrs WolfCall and I saw a pair of Aplomado Falcons yesterday and today between the padre Island National Seashore and the beginning of the four lane highway.

Its a first for us! We also saw the flamingo at Port A ......Turnbull Birding Center. Saw it last year.
