There's not really any 'beachfront' property in CC. There's some in Port A, and they've just started building some stilt homes along the channel between Port A and Aransas Pass.

If you want right on the beach, go to Port A, but if you want close to the beach on a canal, go to Flour Bluff/Padre Island. It the best place to live in CC.

Portland...easy 10 minute drive to downtown across the bay. Friendly town, good schools.

Your from ptown and actually recommend it? jk If you have a family it's THE place to live. But if your single... I'd go with the island or the south side.

Yeah I didn't really like it when I was in highschool, but now going back you realize how nice it really is. I don't think anyone in highschool really thinks their home town is the coolest. But I definately knew that Portland was better than Corpus

GP sucks. The only thing to do in GP is go to Corpus. The Bluff and PI are the places to be. But if you HAVE to live IN corpus, southside is the area.

Stay away from the Bluff, it's a craphole.

The Bluff has a certain 'Old World Charm' to it. Or is that 'Third World Charm'? Cheap drinks at most bars (if you can avoid getting the hell beat out of you) is a plus.

I live a block from the bay, off of Alameda, and I love this area. Great neighborhood and away from all the traffic of southside.

Hewitt Lane off of Ocean Drive.

Bluff just needs a make-over, and a few more dentist offices.

southside is growing too fast and traffic is getting crazy, but it has that feeling of newness that some people like.

downtown residential is picking up with some new development.

the island is great but expensive and everything will rust quicker.

south central part of town in established neighborhoods is good for families but homes are older/smaller.

If you want a McMansion, you gotta deal with southside traffic.

PG, dude im going to have to stick up for my hometown here. Portland is way better than corpus. I repeat if you want a nice place to raise a family... portland all the way. if your 28 or younger... then the southside or the island.

I'll agree that Portland is better than any CC areas/schools. But I'll take the Bluff and PI anyday.
