Does anyone have advice on a good place to stay in south padre for a week long vacation?

We just stayed at La Copa Inn a couple of weekends ago. We were very pleased w/ it and the rate through Orbitz seemed very reasonable. They were also running weekday specials (not through Orbitz)that were really cheap. It is on the Gulf side right where the bridge reaches the island. Definitely try the Padre Brewing Company for dinner.

Side note... the Radisson looked like one of the nicest places to stay. The Quarter Deck Bar is in the hotel and is a nice outside place w/ live music too.

When are you thinking of going?

Not till next spring when the daughter can leave the house. I was just looking for ideas and I think renting a house might be best for a group of people. Has anyone rented a house down there that was decent?

I can try and get a hold of my cousins who live down there and get some info for ya.

Since when do you have cousins that live in padre? All these years and you have never taken us down there to visit (drink and lay around all day) them?
