I saw the other thread but thought I would ask anyway.

I will be at a conference at Moody Gardens next week and wondered what would be cool to go do in Galveston? I know Moody Gardens in itself will be cool but any other ideas? I've been to the Strand and don't care too much about the shops but I would go to a restaurant or bar there if it's cool. Any suggestions?

Personally I'm not a fan of Galveston. I grew up in Corpus, so Galveston doesn't have much to offer to me...

My company had a conference in Galveston last year at Moody Gardens. I was mostly impressed with the ameneties there. Willie G's had good seafood, we had the banquet room there and I enjoyed it. Aside from that, if you haven't been to the Kemah Boardwalk, you might want to check that out. It's got a family atmosphere and people like eating out there at places like The Aquarium... Sorry, don't have much else to contribute.

Ride the ferry back and forth until you are nauseous. You might see some dolphins.

But then again you might see rafts of floating poo.

Either way-sounds like a good way to kill time.
