Where do I eat?

A business conference is ending in San Antonio around nine. I'm driving to Dallas, but don't need to be there until early evening.

I plan to hit the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. Anything else a must see?

Dr. Pepper Museum isn't bad. I took my boys to the zoo on Saturday. I am thankful we have such a nice zoo if you like that sort of thing.

Texas Ranger Museum is really nice but takes a while if you stop and read everything. SHoF has Randy Matson's shotput or whatever the heavy ball thing is called. We have always liked the Dr Pepper Museum!

Food...there are the obligatory fast food places across the interstate from the SHof...there is also Buzzard Billy's across the river and opposite side of 35, about 3 minutes away if you want more local than chain

Haven't seen it yet but the Southwest Conference exhibit at the Sports Hall is supposed to be nice

crazy that saturday was so nice to be able to take them there.

snow, 70's and, rain all in one week.

I wanted to leave them in the zoo, but my wife said I could not.

For lunch places, Buzzard Billy's is pretty good. Siete Mares isn't far from there if you like seafood. Vitek's is a good BBQ lunch spot, and Cupp's is near there if you like burgers.

Has Buzzards staff gotten any better???? Before AND after their move it seems like it took FOREVER to get anything

We went on Friday evening a couple weeks ago, and it took our waitress a while to get there, but once she did, everything was there quickly and she was very attentive. The last 2-3 times I've been there, the wait staff has been fine.

That's good to hear 'cause I've always liked their food, just never been crazy about the wait

The food is generally good but I had some crawfish etoufee this last time that had ZERO seasoning in it. Weird.
