Congrats to the Cats! I have to say I am totally shocked after watching them play earlier this year at home vs. Shoemaker. Although it was a game they won, and played well, played hard, etc. I just didn't think they looked like a team good enough to win a playoff game so much as win a playoff game. Congratulations to them again for continuing to improve and get better with each outing. Best of luck to them this weekend!

both Wall Girls(my HS) and Temple won Friday and lost saturday. bittersweet to see them get as far as they did and have tough losses on Sat.

Congratulations to the Cats on a terrific season. I woke up and checked the paper first thing Saturday morning to see if they had won Friday night.

It was a shame as I drove around town Saturday morning that there was no sign of the success the team has had anywhere around town. No painted cars or storefronts wishing the team well, etc. I am not sure the city of Temple wants a winner, or cares when they do. So sad considering the success of this years team and all the hard work they put in.

Agreed on that Crusaders..and should I be surprised that they brought in a coach to move from the wing-t to the one back from the staff of the *gasp* 1992 state championship team? I mean seriously??? Do you have to either be from here, or played, or previously coached here to be here? I'm just asking. Think outside the box.

You've confused me, which isn't necessarily hard to do, but did Temple get a new football coach and I didn't know that either???

Maybe he's referring to the fact that Bryce Munson coached here as an assistant under McQueen.

He might be referring to Jim Taylor, who I think might be coming back as an assistant and was an offensive line coach on the 92 team.

I saw him (Taylor) and his son(?) being shown around our halls. I KNEW I knew that guy, knew he was a coach, but until you said his name, didn't connect the two.

Monsen has to do something because the Wing-T aint cutting it in that district. Teams have too good of talent and can just load up the box. Especially when you don't have a HS all american to hand it to on the hand sweep
