We are moving to the Lakewood Ranch subdivision in Temple and just learned that Time Warner Cable does not provide service to that area. Has anybody else heard of this? What other cable/internet companies have people used?

I work for DirecTV. Call 800-637-0719. Promo code 23155. More HD channels than Time Warner. Multiroom DVR coming out in May. Record on one room, watch in another without interfering with other rooms..Internet options also available..

Grinder - I am not trying to be a smarta$$, but if that is true, you are dodging a bullet. I got Time Warner 12 years ago and have had it ever since mainly because it is too much of a pain to switch. Prices are outrageous and customer service is awful. They think they are doing you a favor by charging you $140 for tv programming. Go with Direct Tv or something. Blah.

Temple, I pay less than that with TW for tv AND roadrunner.

I keep tw because I LOVE my roadrunner.

I lived in Lakewood Ranch for 7 yrs and this is correct...Centrovision serves that area and also Northcliffe near the lake... I was told that there was an "agreement" years ago..

I used to have Time Warner. I fired them. It was absolutely the worst cable service I ever had. Went out all the time. Techs would show up, test the line, tell me the meter showed perfect signal, and it was a black screen on the TV. They would shrug their shoulders, leave, and reschedule---same results

Went back to Direct TV, liked it when I lived at Lake Travis, and NOT ONE problem now. Outstanding service, (you can talk to live person, not be left on hold for 45 minutes like TWC, only to finally have a TWC rep in Awstin schedule another appointment).

TWC never cared, their answer was to issue credit. I had to point out to them, after several months of free cable, I was getting nothing for nothing. Only when I fired them, did they react with suggestions. Too late...

I had Roadrunner with TWC, worked fine. I now have DSL, and it works just as well for my needs.

Direct TV is light years ahead of Time Warner for television service

I have no trouble with my Time Warner television, but perhaps I should knock on wood. I don't watch much television, but have it for sports events.

Most important to me is good cable. I LIKE having only one bill for it to worry about.

Yes, it is a long time on hold when you do have a problem, but my brother has had both of the dish type services and he has his tv out more often than I do.
