all i know was it crapped up the traffic and quietness of downtown temple for 3 days solid.

A few of my younger teacher friends went with their husbands and friends and said it was AWESOME.

Apparently Kevin Fowler was a huge draw, but even so, they had a good time.

We went Saturday night and I was blown away by the massive crowd. It was well-organized and more than well-attended.

Personally, I thought Kevin Fowler was pretty much the worst live performance I've ever seen. Some good songs, but I've seen better in between songs "sctick" at junior high band concerts. And for a guy who is mid-level star, he surely thinks he is one of the biggest superstars on the planet. Seemed like one of the biggest jacka$$es I've ever come across.

My parents enjoyed Johnny Rodriguez, that opened for Fowler.

Overall, whoever ran it this year did an awesome organizational job and had some really creative and smart ideas (using local restaurants as vendors, dropping beer prices, etc). I think it will continue to grow.

It was fun. Saw way too many of my kids, but I guess I'd rather them say 'hi' to me rather then them hate me and just not even say anything.

I thought it was great!

Wife and I did the 5K that morning which got us arm bands for the entire weekend. Went to Kevin Fowler.....he started WAY TOO LATE for my blood....he didn't come on stage until after 10:30!!!! Johnny Rodriguez was ok, and the few songs of Fowlers we heard before he left were Ok as well but I think he was trying out some new stuff because I didn't recognize a lot of them.

We tried taking the kids to the carnival after the fun run and had to leave....all rides were a MINIMUM of $3 per person. In my mind even for a fund raiser that is just absolutely ridiculus!!!! It would have cost us $28 just for our family to ride the merry go round and the ferris wheel. Luckily Buttons the clown was there making and giving away free balloon animals and that made everything all better.

Not sure beer prices were dropped as Temple mentions above.....$4 a beer isn't horrible because they were tallboys but still not cheep...

I'm sure we will go again, but it really just depends on what else is going on....

Yep, local carnival/fair prices suck.

All day at Fiesta Texas, Sea World, or Schlitterbahn.... or.... admission plus 3 or 4 crappy rides at a local fair. All about the same price.

Total ripoff.

Cru - Beer prices at Czechfest a couple of years ago were $6 for a 12oz can! I'm not kidding! Beyond ridiculous. Crazier than the prices were that people were actually buying them.
