As a follow up to my earlier post about moving to Robinson. The deal's done this week. I've heard Reliant is better in Central Texas as opposed to TXU due to ease of switching on utilities and ease of access. Heard Time Warner is pretty much the only decent option for cable and TV as well. Any other suggestions for services?

Depending where you live, you may be able to get Grande cable. I use them for phone/cable/internet. Cheaper than TW and if the NFL network is important to you, Grande has it.

Almost everything is cheaper than TXU...hubby will be back tonight and I will ask his learned opinion......he is an EE with a utility and knows these things from all angles.

We had no complaints with TW for 10+ years. We have had Grande for less than 6 months and been back in three times for issues. Something about filters and when they do auto updates the boxes they have given us, suddenly don't operate! Of course their updates are weekends and hubby fumes until Monday morning. The led numbers just spin but nothing else is recognized. I likes TW and RR.com!!!

I think our cable and internet runs about $100 a month.

We use Grande for cable/TV/internet. I've had zero problems with them, other than my trees making their lines fall down.

Robinson has the usual suspects for your basic utilities. Atmos is very responsive locally for a gas company, IMO.

The City water and sewer crews are pretty nice guys if you ever have to deal with them.

We have TXU & Dish Network with Time Warner internet. Robinson has great tap water compared to Waco so that is good.

Water in a roadside ditch (stagnant for 3 weeks) is better water than the Waco water supply.
