We are headed to Brady early next week for a funeral and was curious what might be around to keep 2 3 years olds entertained.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did a little research for ya and found out that Brady hosts the World Championship Goat Cookoff. Don't know if it is this weekend.

Also, did you know Brady is the geographic center of Texas? You might could figure out a way to parlay that bit of information into a weekend's worth of entertainment for a 3 year old.

I had to look it up.

Seems like a dumb weekend to have that with it being the opening weekend of dove season. Plus West Fest. Something I would like to check out one of these days though...

The Heart of Texas center of Texas park is about halfway to Bwd, but it isn't worth the trip. Just some picnic tables and a halfway tall tower. I haven't been there in years, so it might not even be useable now.

Goat Cookoff is a blast. Good vendors with some neat stuff, great cabrito, and a good street dance. Some of the cook-off rigs are amazing. However, none of it is geared to children.

Richards Park has a pretty good playground and some picnic areas under the pecan trees. Nothing special, though.

I've spent quite a bit of time in Brady and there's not much to do. Maybe make a trip to the Wal-Mart

I've driven past the Geographical Center of Texas sign many times. Depending how old the kids are, that might be an interesting trip just so they can say they did it. If you get up to Brownwood, you can show them where Kohler toilets are made.
