We're fairly new to the area (lived here less than a year) and on Monday got hit by a tornado, microburst, funnel cloud, whatever you want to call it. It did a lot of damage (not limited to picking up a 2700 lb travel trailer and throwing it into my house).
We're going to need a new roof, loads of work done on the house, and a small metal barn repaired. If anyone has recommendations for a contractor, roofer, or someone good at repairing metal structures - I would love to know. Or if you have people I should avoid. I would like to know that, too.
We had major damage from Hurricane Ike in Houston and moved up here partially to avoid another nasty storm. It seemed the storm followed us! I guess the bright side is I have a lot of experience with insurance and with repair/rebuilding...
