BENEFIT GOLF TOURNAMENT FOR BALCH FAMILY
(CAMERON) Cameron community support continues for the Eric Balch family. A golf tournament has been scheduled for Sunday, August 15th at the Cameron Country Club, benefitting the Balch family. Balch is a 1991 graduate of Yoe High and grew up in Cameron. He was severely burned while rescuing his two sons from an explosion and fire in the family`s garage July 17th. His youngest son Mason died from injuries while Eric and his 4 year old son Cade remain hospitalized.
The tournament will be a 9-hole, 4-person scramble. Start time is 1 p.m. Entry fee is $50 per person and Mulligan`s will be $40 per team. Deadline for entry is Wednesday, August 11th. If you`re interested contact Cruz Reyes at 254-455-0264 or the Cameron Country Club at 254-697-2371.
Cameron ISD is also sponsoring a blood drive and bake sale for the Balch Family this Thursday, August 5th from Noon-6:30PM at the Yoe High Cafeteria. If you would like to donate baked goods, drop those off at the school on the 5th or call 697-3512.
