The screen on my laptop has stoped turning on. I've tried using an external monitor and that does not work either. Does anyone know of a good repair shop in the Hewitt/Waco area that won't cost an arm and a leg??

We have used PC Doctor a few times. They charge a diagnostic fee which will apply to the repair bill. The fee was reasonable but I cannot remember how much it was. They will recover any information possible if the computer has to be replaced and they will make a disc with that info for you. The info recovery on the disc is included in the diagnostic fee if the computer is not repairable (or not economically repairable, they'll give you their opinion on the cost to repair versus the cost to replace).

I have used PC Doctor as well. Would definitely recommend them.

We used PC Doc when it was over by Holze Music and they were great...charged us $1 to tell daughter the gel cooling pad inside her laptop had died and while it could possibly be fixed everything inside had overheated and they didn't think it resonable to gut and replace everything...cheaper, better to replace laptop.
