is good.

Their win over Navasota last night was ugly, but they hung on.

Probably not the best year for local 2A teams to have Cameron move down!

Still a lot of games to play, however.

I know a coach for that team really well who is an Aggie!

You do know that before I was a Wildcat, I was a Yoeman, right?

I'm thrilled for Cameron. I hope they continue to succeed. Many people are mortified that they are in 2A, now.

In the mid to late 80's Toby York could not get Belton or Taylor to play us. Belton coach said hell im not play another 3A team at home and get beat by 30 points. They were both 4A and we have always been on the small side of 3A. GO oYe

I admit it is strange to see them in our district except for football. Saw the middle school volleyball team arriving at the game today. Strange feeling and they must almost be in shock to have to play in such small places when they live in a real town.

Yep, it's rather strange. As a poster above pointed out, we used to be known for embarrassing 4-A schools...heck, in my day we even played Westlake, and beat them.

It may be a little wierd pulling into Rogers or Academy, but on the other hand, a lot of our old state-wide rivals like Newton and Daingerfield have slipped down to 2-A, as well as some of the old locals like Hearne and Marlin, so from a certain perspective, the landscape looks familiar.

localag is right several of our old competition has dropped. Marlin and Hearne were both in our district when I was in school. I have to admit going to Thorndale last week was a little strange. We are 6 kids from 3A and they are 2 kids from 1A so quite a disparity. The freshman VB game was played in the jr. high gym which resembled an old army barrack. We are very fortunate though to have some of the best facilities in the state in 2A so it's not really fair to compare.
