It makes me sad to hear that. I spent many, many hours at that place in the late 70's early 80s.

I'm still bitter they bulldozed out the bmx track next to the pool back in the 80s. That was fun to ride around the track a few times before going swimming!

Yeah, the bulldozer was out there yesterday and was pushing dirt. I wonder what they plan on doing with the place. Tear out all the concrete sidewalks and building or just leave it all there to rot.

The 1" scar on my right shin guarantees me that I will never forget about Lions Park Pool. In 79 or 80 I hit the diving board attempting an inward 1 1/2 that required about 10 stitches. Oh the stupid things you do when you are an immortal 14-15 year old.

This is the first I've heard of it.

I lost part of a tooth on the bottom of that pool.

saw it driving through there last saturday....

On a positive note, Lion's Junction water park is really cool. My kids have a blast every time weve been.
