Toilet leaking, not something I can put off, but will need someone who can come after six and won't charge me a fortune.

I had someone texags recommended several years ago, but I can't get search to work.

I need someone late on either Monday or Wednesday. Can't get the wall cut off to stop it, so it is running constantly. Or leaking on floor. Not good.

It could be an easy fix if you do it yourself.

If the tank is leaking, shut the water off, flush the toilet. then there should be two bolts holding it to the bottom portion of the tank. Buy new tank(with internal hardware preferably), then attach tank to toilet.

If it's the bottom portion, there is a seal underneath. Same procedure as stated above for emptying the toilet. Then remove the two bolts fastening the toilet to the ground. Pull up on the toilet, remove the old seal with a putty knife, then add a new seal. When placing the toilet back on top of the seal, set the toilet directly on top without movement to much in any direction. Tighten down bolts, taking in to account it is porcelain, because you will break it obviously.

I know you asked for a plumber, but I thought this might give you an idea for doing it yourself if you could see how to do it.

Nope, it was the flapper which I replaced. But also discovered that the shut off valve in the wall leaks except in one barely open position I need that replaced.

I will need a plumber. I had several recommendations a few years ago, and I though Crusader was the one who recommended who I called, but for the life of me I can't remember who that was.
