You can read the article below, but I can't for the life of me think of a good reason why they are not posting the position until "likely the end of the school year," i.e. May!
Also goes to show you what a great job former Athletic Director and Head Coach Bill Baine did at Rosebud-Lott.

TRAVIS - Rosebud-Lott will have its fourth head football coach and athletic director since 2005 after Robby Edwards turned in his resignation in December.
"He stepped down for health reasons," Rosebud-Lott superintendent Anthony Price said Wednesday. "He and I are good friends and he left us on good terms."
Edwards had a 9-12 record in two seasons at Rosebud-Lott, including a 42-6 loss to New London West Rusk in a Class 2A Division II bi-district playoff game in 2009.
It was the Cougars' only playoff game since 2004, Bill Baine's final season. Since that time, the Cougars have been led by Damon Phillips, Kyle Maxfield and Edwards and have one winning season - 7-3 in 2008 under Maxfield.
Rosebud-Lott had just three losing seasons in 12 years under Baine and was the 2A Division II state champion in 2002.
Price said the district has not officially posted the opening and will not do so until it has finalized its budget for the upcoming school year.
There is widespread speculation that the state's current $15 billion budget shortfall could have an impact on districts across Texas, requiring many to make significant budget cuts.
Price it would likely be close to the end of the school year before the budget is finalized and the position is posted. Until then, Rosebud-Lott assistant football coach Craig Jackson will serve as interim athletic director.
Price did not say the job will be Jackson's next school year, but he is encouraging Jackson to strongly consider it permanently.
"Jackson is well-qualified and is doing an excellent job," Price said. "We've been happy with his job so far and when the position is posted I will encourage Coach Jackson to apply to continue in the position."
