Any other decent hiking in Temple/Waco/Killeen/Fort Hood?

Lacy Point Trails on the West Side of Lake Waco. Trail Head is off McLaughlin Lane east of Speegleville Road.

Bend State Park... between Lampasas and San Saba.

Some good trails... very remote place. Can hike to Gorman Falls which is pretty cool... something you wouldn't expect to see in central Texas.

Hopewell Trail out of Kimball Bend Park (where 174 crosses the Brazos) on the upper end of Lake Whitney. Runs down the west side of the lake.

personally i go to some of the Wildlife Management Areas and hike. i like to look for game in the hunting off season and there are some great spots in the WMA's for that.
