Going to the A&M/Baylor game on the 26th. Need some of ideas on where to eat and drink. I know of George's but don't know of anywhere else. Help would be appreciated!

George's is a good bet.
If you want a more upscale steakhouse, you can try Diamondback's.

Is Cricket's any good?
Crickets isn't bad, the food is decent. I think George's has better food.

Sam's on the square has become a huge college hang out after 10 PM as well as a few other places around that 3 block area. I know my daughter (bu) goes out there from 10 - 2 or 3. And she is the DD!!! Plus Sam's food and purple margaritas are killer!!!
The RiverCenter Square area with Cricket's, Ninfa's, Wild West, and Diamond Back's is probably the closest thing Waco has, but it's more restaurant oriented.

Go to Sam's after the game. Across from RiverSquare Center. It will be all college kids.
Waco doesn't have a northgate type thing but the downtown area has most of the college bars in Cricket's, Sam's, Austin's, Trojan's, Treaff's, and the minitire Duke's in Wild West. Over on the southside of Baylor is Scruffy Murphy's and Dancing Bear Pub
interesting history that Treff's is now Treaff's
Waco nightlife = fail.
Go to Treaff's. Cricket's is the suck. After 10pm, it becomes a local High School reunion for native Wackoans. You may be better off driving back to CS to party.

BTW, there's no way I could be a single adult in Waco. Before I met my wife and was living in Houston, I thought about "moving back home." Would've been disastrous as a single man.

I need a lot to pick from or I'm hosed.
