Aggie grad in Temple for work (staying at Hilton Graden Inn) through Thursday. Any ideas/suggestions for dinner? Movie? etc? Should be pretty busy but definitely want to squeeze in some personal time!!! Thanks!

I've only eaten at Cheeve's once, but it was great. They have a bar which looked nice and I'm sure was stocked with overpriced drinks. BJ's might be a good place to stroll over for a happy hour, huge TVs and lots of drink choices. If you're up for a drive in the morning (10-15 minutes) you might head out to Green's Sausage House in Zabcikville for some goo kolaches.

If you want a nice place to drink some good beer try Aggie-owend O'Briens downtown.

Cheeves is phenomenal, but it will cost you bigtime.

Depends on what you like to eat and what you are looking for, but Jody's Restaurant is a Temple landmark and one of the best Chicken Fried Steaks you'll ever find.

Beautiful view out at Lake Belton at the Dead Fish Grill. Stage Coach Restaurant in Salado is routinely voted one of the best in the state.

I know Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen in Temple, but Coronas is excellent with great margaritas.

All just my opinion obviously, but we love all those places.

Definitely stop by Cheeves if you have some money to burn.

Definitely BJ's, especually if you like sports.

Really nice atmosphere in the bar area, good food and beverages.

Actually, lunch at Cheeves isn't all that expensive.

Jaliscos for Breakfast

I'm also a big fan of jodys chicken fried steak

Oscar store for burgers (Lois and jerry's in Bartlett has the best burgers but it's 20 miles from Temple). Jodys has great burgers as well.

mr Mikes pizza at 31st and ave M has the best wings.

Bj's good sportsbar, homebrew.

Clem mikeskas and schoepfs (belton) for BBQ.
