For Military Retirement
When I got my latest issue of USAA Magazine, something jumped off the cover and caught my eye.

In case you didn't catch it

I was so blown away by the ALICO building being on the cover that I didn't even realize that Texas A&M University was 2 pictures below it.
And here's what we all want to know. Why?

But, don't think that success is limited to Waco. Round Rock is #3 and B/CS is #4.

So USAA's Top 10 List for 2011 is:
1. Waco, TX
2. Oklahoma City, OK
3. Austin/Round Rock, TX (funny that RR got a mention but not any of the other suburbs)
4. College Station/Bryan, TX (I guess nobody told them it's B/CS, NOT CS/B)
5. Harrisburg/Carlisle, PA (Hershey's Chocolate & Three Mile Island)
6. San Angelo, TX
7. Madison, WI
8. Pittsburgh, PA (I think the economy has been so bad there that things are pretty cheap)
9. New Orleans/Metarie/Kenner, LA (Curious, the news media would have me believe the place was destroyed by a Hurricane)
10. Syracuse, NY
I've lived in 4 of the top ten and traveled to 8 of the top 10. Round Rock looks better and better all the time. Since this list is for Military Retirement, I guess Round Rock could stay on the list even though Austin's new Light Rail doesn't go there.
Honestly, with Waco being picked as #1, I figure this topic would have come up on the CenTex Board already.
