Umm Might be a good game but neither of those teams is ranked by Harris or the AP...

Mom, I live in Dubai now. Which is great, but it sucks missing football season.

One of the coaches stated on their facebook page that the teams were ranked that on two different websites. I think that one was txhighschoolfootball.com or texashsfootball.com - something like that. I can't remember the other one. Forgive me, I didn't even know there was a ranking system for HS football until this week and the internet in this god-forsaken country is way too slow for me to try to find it again.

In any case, it will be a good game. CS is undefeated, and Brownwood only has one loss, to Hebron. Not to mention that they were the runners-up in last year's state championship. I've watched the game film of every game CS has played this year, and they're doing well. The defense especially so, if I do say so myself.

I know, 21-17. Dad said it was a really tough game, but my brother played very well. Now I'm GLAD that I'm 8000 miles away, as my brother is almost unbearable to be around for 2 or 3 days after a loss.

How are you able to watch the game the next day? I coach in Dallas and would love to know how to make our games available for relatives out of the area.

hudl.com The CS coaches have the film up there within hours of the game. They use it so that players can watch film at home, including opponent scout film. The coaches can mark certain clips and post comments. It's great! My brother gave me his password so that I can watch while I'm overseas.

P.S. A few people have posted on FB that the Waco Trib named my brother Defensive Player of the Week. I'm very proud!

That is funny! We keep saying that we want to visit Australia, but when the trip there is almost as long as the trip home, it just makes more sense to go home and see family.

I don't have anything against Brownwood, really. It's near Goldthwaite, which is where my family is originally from so I've spent a lot of time there too. I like that part of the state.
