been a bit reluctant to say my piece

what a bunch

short story, last weakend, went to family gathering out on North VM church,...afterwards, in trying to figure out where 22 of us could have a sit down meal,...

ended up @ Cracker Barrel,...all I needed was an ATM machine,

no, not there, nor the next 5 bidnesses located next door,...including 2 hotels w/ baler crap adorned all over

all anyone anywhere could tell me, was,..."go to WalMart" ...

and some people wonder, about waYco,... they tell me to go to WalMart

all I wanted was an ATM for cash to spend, yet I was refered to WalMart

so instead of just paying my part,...

I just paid the bill for all, drove away from that idiot hood,...not worth my time to go to WalMart for ATM

and, will never try that again

WalMart is directly across the highway and if you had a card for the atm why didn't you just use that? Did you not tell them separate checks?

I think the c-store/gas station across the highway has an atm...but I guess if you didn't try WalMart you didn't see the large ATM sign in the window.

no offense, but I don't do Walmart, haven't in 19 years because the way they treated my mum back then. I had to get an attorney involved, but it wasn't too much trouble since two of our cousins are lawyers. It was totally because of identity theft by some loser in waYco, but he was a low life customer of Walmart in waYco using the name of my deceased dad, who by the way, I am named after.

I had to prove the same to Enterprise Car Rental in waYco, when they hired a lawyer to come after me over a unpaid bill from the year 2000. I wasn't even in waYco, much less renting a car there

and Washburn, yes,... the big round bank,...yeah, I know of it, an ole buddy from Richfield High School werks there

my point simply being, is I could not believe that was no ATM within buying distance,...two hotels with no ATM,...what is this ?

yes, I know, I coulda, shoulda,... got back in my truck, while the family was inside, and drive around looking for an ATM,...but, no,...like I said when I walked back to the Cracker Barrel, I should have known better than to show up in waYco thinking it was like most of the other civilized whirled

I know you kids probably get tired of my anti waYco rants, yet I just don't get it. waYco is so backwards, so I wonder why.

petey88 - here's a funny rental car story at ACT. A few years ago, I needed to go to B/CS and I booked my flight into ACT. The gal at the AVIS at Madison-Cooper couldn't believe it. She says, wow - we don't see many people with your AVIS status here (probably true). But, I was thinking - My status isn't that special, I probably rent a car only 50-80 days a year.

By the way, I don't shop at Wal-Marts if I can help it. Although I did see a really cute chick at Wal-Mart in Vega$ 6 months ago when I was in the US but, my Power Chair argument experience in Conroe back in 2008 put me off Wal-Mart forever.

I saw a 400+ lb man fighting with a 400+ lb woman over who got there first to use the free Wal-Mart Power Chair. I couldn't believe it. Anyway.

So Petey, you're telling me that Wayco is becoming a big city where you've got to roll around with like 2 bills in your pocket just in case? Sound like San Fran or Chicago, or NY.

I am not a Waco fan, but I don't think the Cracker barrel in Temple has an ATM or any of the stores near it. But just across the interstate is one at the Bank of America and another inside the Target.

You have to plan a little, people.

I'm pretty sure you could have just bought something and done cashback at the Cracker Barrel, or else just ask for a split check. I'm not sure why this is some huge ordeal for you.

There are FIVE banks within a half mile and three of them are on the same side of 35 as CB and they are all three are within walking distance.

The American Bank less than 100 yards away from Cracker Barrel has an ATM.

There are also 2 credit unions less than a 1/4 mile west of Cracker Barrel, I know they have nice drive through lanes.

Is it Waco's fault that you can't see a big bank?

Also, is your ATM card not a debit card? You could have used it at Cracker Barrel.

In my experience, people are pretty forgiving when you're trying to figure out a way to pay them money, as long as they actually get the money in the end.
