We will be in Houston for the bowl game and are spending it with some friends in Katy, but we always get together with friends on New Year's Day night and shoot fireworks and let the kids run around. What is everyone else doing?

more than likely moving our son to Dallas...he graduated MBA on Saturday(missed walking to be in friend's wedding) interview yesterday, job offer this morning!

We are going to the Barkin Ball. It's very close to our house. Pretty good time last time we went.
Piag, we were looking at the Barkin Ball, but couldn't do $175 a person. I know it's a fundraiser, but that's a lot of money. Do you get a better price if you buy a ticket earlier?

I know, kinda lame but, we just watched the fireworks from the rooftop deck at the office.
I know it's too late, but the $175 is set. From what we could tell, it was full.
Did that $175 include food and drink?
yep and a real good band. They also served breakfast after midnight for no additional cost
That's not a horrible deal for that sort of thing. Only thing that would seem to make it better is if they had it at a hotel or somewhere with a hotel within walking distance.
