So, my car is horribly dirty, and I need to take it to a quality car wash that will really do a great job on it. Does anyone know of a good quality car wash that they take their car to to get professionally cleaned? Thanks for the help.

I'd go to Baird Brothers on N. Valley Mills drive across from the HEB.

It's basically like a Genie Car wash, except it's self serve. If you don't vacuum you car, you don't even have to get out of it. It's not just a powerwash--they have the spinning brushes, etc. I think the washes range from $4 to about $12. Vacuums are free and run continuously.

However, if you're wanting a professinal detailing (which can run in the $100s of dollars), I'd just do that myself. Let Baird Brothers take care of 95% of everything with a wash, and then drive it home to spend a few hours in the garage taking care of the other 5% (the minute details: clay bar, polishing/waxing/making sure every last single spec of bird guts is cleaned off, etc).

Genie on Valley Mills has been pumping a lot of money back into their facility. I would give them a try! Even the basic wash is plenty for my truck with their new tunnel stuff. Since Kyle got sick his wife has been taking over and from the looks of things, they are on a strong upswing.

The other day I went and Genie was too crowded so I went to the one at the end of Valley Mills (near Cobbs). It's a little less nice than Genie, but it's much cheaper and they did a damn good job on the truck....and it was much less crowded. I'm going back to that place again.

I worked at the the one Bohunk is talking about for 5 years when it was called Regal Car Wash and Kwik Lube and when it changed to Donovan's Car Wash while I was in High School and going to MCC. Its a good car wash and was just as busy as Genie (and the Kwik Lube 3 times as busy) until a format change that customers absolutely hated.

I tried Baird Brothers in Bellmead for the first time the other day and was really impressed at the job that it did for the price.

There is one on Hewitt Dr that is tunnel but self serve...they do have an attendant who sprays off the car, wipes the windows and wheels as you head into the wash tunnel. Vacuums are self serve.
