Many childhood memories of going down "the hill" to get to that mall by the back entrance. My aunt's studebaker could barely make it back up that hill though. One time we even slid back down when the road was wet and were threatened not to tell anyone else in the family.
We may not be talking about the same Mall. Luby's was at the Old Town and Country Mall, now called the Outdoor America Mall. There was also a Beall's, Orange Julius, Monkey Ward's, and I believe a Woolco. In subsequent years there was an RV dealer, Denim and Diamonds, and Room Store.
I miss the what a burger in the mall with the saddles to sit on. An the corny dog store, Giovanni's pizza, oshmans sporting goods. Yep, the good old days.
Went to the new Hollywood Theater in Belton Friday night. You could hear the movie next door through the walls and no one explained when purchasing tickets the difference between the box seats and general admission.
Difference is "general admission" is the first 10 rows or so that are on the floor level when you enter the theater. Reserved or whatever it is called that costs an extra buck or so is the seating that goes up towards the back, where 95% of movie goers usually sit.
