OK. Don't take this personally, at all. But....

Do we REALLY need more notice for a happy hour?

If we already have plans, is it something that can be postponed (like a movie)?

If we already have plans, and we can't cancel, would you it have made a difference if notice was 3 days ago? If its, say, your kids baseball game, chances are, you wouldn't have gone to Aggie hour anyway.

Had we known about Aggie hour two weeks ago, would we have foregone whatever plans we currently have to go to Aggie hour?

If we think about it, same day notice, especially on a week night, is no big deal for something like a happy hour. If you cant go on 10 hours notice, chances are you couldn't go with a week notice

ONE exception is if finding a baby sitter is an issue...

And Wednesday night is kind of dicey due to some people having church activities..

It was moved up a week this month due to Lent (I'm assuming).

It is usually the 2nd Thursday of the month. The locations do change throughout the year. It'll probably be at George's in Hewitt a couple of more times before going to the Slippery Minnow.

Pablo, I think he meant post on texags sooner because this forum doesn't see A lot of traffic

it's every month as emy said, i just know that there are a ton of aggies in waco and only a handful ever come to happy hour. and it's thursdays, not wednesdays, so you can still go to your church events. i still get to go to mine as well.

now you know that it's a recurring event, so spread the word!

With as little traffic as the CenTex board gets, if you post "tonight" on Wednesday, no one will see it until Thursday, so it'll all work out.

And it's rotating between venues, but notice won't be posted until day of, unless you are on Facebook (I'm not) to follow....is this a weekly meeting or monthly. First Thursday or last... Maybe its the second, or is inly on thursdays followig a blue waxing moon...Ahhhh dang it, I've done tangled my brain....

kind of sounds like when I used to receive a text about a musician friend in waYco, it would be sent out by his wife:

" Come on out to _____ , (name inserted here) plays at 8 pm ".

it would be ten minutes before start time, and I'm like 40 miles away, so I would text back no notice, too late.

Next text would be I should have been watching reverbnation.com, it was announced last month

Go to the Waco A&M Club website and get on the email list. They'll start sending you reminders for the happy hours, usually they send the first one 4 or 5 days in advance.

Sorry I should have put "/sarcasm" at the end of my post. Just poking fun at my fellow uptight, non-facebooking anti social media types.
