anyone around Waco High, Richfield, University in about 1976???

I moved to Waco in 1978 and worked in Respiratory Therapy at a rehab center over by the old Providence Hospital off 18th St. There was a PT/OT patient by the name of Anthony Cervantes who was rehabbing after a HS football practice injury broke his neck. I remember him saying he knew it was bad because he could barely breathe and the coaches were rushing around but very very carefully moving the guys around him...the kid was in bad shape when I met him probably a year or two after the accident. Can't remember what school he attended but I am guessing Waco High since he lived over by Providence.

Just wondering if anyone remembers his injury or possibly what ever happened to him?

University I believe...I recently saw that he was going to be speaking at the Church of the Nazarene at Valley Mills Dr and Cobbs. Not sure that the year was '76..

Indeed, his injury may have been prior to 76 because I met him in 78 and it wasn't a new injury then.
