Beer joint / pool hall in Pendleton?

Yeah. It was interesting. Some old ladies kept giving me the stank eye. We later passed them as they were walking back to their trailer park.

Was it smoky in there? May check it out. Sense of morbid curiosity I guess.

My brother lives near Pendleton, I've been to The Pump numerous times. You have to be careful there. It's a place where everyone knows everyone, and they aren't always happy to have new people in there. It's not a place I'd recommend for the faint of heart.

So what your saying is they are not interested in expanding their customer base? Increasing market share?

Is it the kind of place a guy could go knock back a few Crown and Tabs after a game of squash?

How about if he wants to buy a Cosmo for his lady?

And I'm assuming we should leave the standard poodle at home, right?

It's the kind of place where drug deals happen across the street in the building that no longer has a roof, but the people are generally pretty nice. It's just such a mixture of people, but not many of affluent people.

You've got your old farmers in their 60s and 70s, then you got some sketchy people from who knows where, then the people who live within walking distance in Pendleton.

I drove through Pendleton recently and the place just looks like a stiff wind would take it to the ground....

Strange place...

It's got some character for sure. They've got an old wood stove in the bar area with a duct running into the room where they have bands set up to heat the place during the winter. Roy, the owner, lives in the double wide directly behind the bar.

Urinal is an old trough with a fantastic wood shelf with beer holders. Stalls have shower curtains for privacy.
