I took all my grandkids to KLRN's Dinosaur George touring exhibit, sponsored here by the Marble Falls Library.

http://www.dinosaurgeorge.com/Prehistoric_Tour.html

This Zoology major/dinosaur fan was very, very, very impressed by the quality of what was shown and all the kids really liked it too.

150 bony or replicated exhibits, including a T-Rex skull, an Allosaurus skull, an Apatosaurus femur, a prehistoric crocodile skull, Triceratops horns, Stegosaurus tail spikes and several Velociraptor skulls and claws.

Plus Trilobite fossils, dinosaur eggs, a Megalodon tooth, prehistoric horse bones and sabre-tooth cat skulls.

Free and very informatively displayed in chronological order with Dinosaur George and another expert there, eager to answer any questions.

It's the best touring exhibit to come to our town since a replica of the Vietnam War Memorial was here.

Very highly recommended as to content, if you get a chance to see it or bring it to your town or city.

I wouldn't mind seeing this, but they need to improve their mobile site. Finally found the "calendar" page and very little info was on there. Just the venues, most of which I have no clue where they are.

They need to at least put the city it will be in, and whether it is open to the public...

Captain Pablo, if you go to the calendar in the link in my post and click on a specific location, all that information which you didn't find is right there: each city and every address plus a contact person and a phone number is listed.

I believe it's generally, if not always, open to the public, but the sponsor at each venue gets to decide when it's free or ticketed or if donations are invited.

Dinosaur George apparently charges a flat appearance fee to the sponsor/venue and so any charge or donation collected at the show goes to the sponsoring entity.

Many of the venues I see listed are elementary schools in San Antonio, which is identified as Dinosaur George's home base.

In Marble Falls, admission was free at our lakeside community center, sponsored by our public library and a bowl for donations was available.

OK. Got it. Bubble opens at top of page, which I previously couldn't see because I had zoomed in on a calendar date.....
