I'll be leaving Woodway to head to CS for the game tomorrow. Will 6 be a nightmare? Would it be better to do 77 down through Cameron and Caldwell?

Please help!

6 should be ok. 4 lanes all the way helps

Since 6 is 4 lanes now, there is never a back up on 6.

Not like the old days when you'd run into 2 mile long traffic jams in Calvert and Hearne when Baylor was playing in CS.

I'm actually concerned about getting from HWY 6 to Kyle Field once I'm in CS. I may take 77-> 36-> 21 just so I can come in the back way to the stadium area.

Last year I drove from Houston for the LSU game and it was a nightmare getting from 6 to the field

If you're concerned, take 2818 from 6. I GI 6 to University every game, but I'm usually early.

Depends on where you park. If you park at northgate, take 6 to 2818 to Villa Maria to Wellborn to Old College to College Main. Then pick your spot...

I felt pretty dumb when I took my Class of 2017 daughter from Waco to College Station back in June and I kept telling her that there would be these two lane roads that we would need to pass slower cars on.

Highway 6 is now 4 lanes all the way from the intersection of FM 185 near Crawford, South all the way to Galveston. Sure changes the dynamic of that drive to College Station.

Don't worry BQ, I think last year...during the football season...was the first time Hwy. 6 was 4 lanes the entire way.

Wow. Went to the SMU game... what an easy drive home. 4 lanes. 75 mph most of the way. Easiest trip on Hwy 6 I've ever had. Did notice the Hearne and Calvert police out in force, with a few Ags pulled over.

I'm always amazed, the people that drive 72 in a 75 always want to speed through the speed trap towns.

Any Ag that's stupid enough to speed through the small towns on Hwy. 6 deserve to get pulled over.

Side note, I haven't seen the Riesel cop this year.

I figure Riesel is far enough away from BCS that they aren't expecting lots of traffic through town on game days.

In previous years, Riesel has always been out after games, I rarely see them on the way to the game.

I've also seen many Ags getting the roadside field sobriety test in Riesel. There is a ton of traffic that goes through Riesel on game days.
