I completely avoid that monstrosity on Fridays. When will all this construction be finished? I thought the part through Temple was supposed to have started already. What's the deal?

2023. Just in time for them to start resurfacing the parts that are already complete.

They had business owners hold out for more money. Not sure they got it but I think there's still stuff to demo.

The 12th of never, and that's a long long time.

They are closing down the main overpass in West today....

About to forgo I-35 NB on my trips to Dallas. Every time it seems there is SOMETHING. Last Friday, there was a big pileup in Abbott. Took us near 1.5 hours just to get into Hill County from Waco.

My daily return trip from Hillsboro to Waco goes down FM308 from Malone to Elm Mott. The part in Hill county is 75, nice relaxing drive as long as you can avoid the combines travelling between fields.

New job has me going up and down it every week from Temple. Getting a little old in the construction parts.

FYI, avoid it at all costs next weekend 10/11-10/13....it's the Red River Shootout with the sips and Sooners playing and I-35 becomes WORSE than your worst nightmare, which it usually is!!!

The RRS won't cause the usual delays, the sips couldn't even sell out their student tickets for the game.

the sips won't get any closer to O.U. than Round Rock

RRS gives them a reason yo go to the State Fair which gives them a reason to go get drunk....stay off I-35

This weekend is usually pretty awful. Like 30+ minutes to get from Belton to N Temple.

yesterday, 10/5 was unexpectedly calm and almost no traffic from Dallas to Waco at 7 last night!

tonight, Sunday we decided to go to Genghis Grill in Harker Heights and left home about 6:30...we reached HH at 7:30 and were on the road back home at 8.....we didn't get home until 9:30 because 35 was a parking lot

of course my husband complained constantly that it was the 18 wheelers as the cause...but he won't even consider an alternate to 35. Where we live it is easy to go straight to Moody and hit 317 then wiggle through Belton and come out at 190 almost into Nolanville but NOOOOOO, that would have made too much sense!

we do wiggle through Belton! Coming in on 317 then it's right, then left, then right, then....it's definitely a wiggle.

and sooooo much better than 35!

I had to be in Lake Worth by 8 this morning. No traffic.

I was back to Waco by 10:30, again no traffic.

bad, bad wreck tonight about 830 at West...tour bus, couple of 18 wheelers and a car

the jaws of life was used to cut the top off the bus

I heard it was the Troy 7th & 8th grade football team

Or was that something different
