Any body else a member? Apparently being a member makes me an owner. Is there a state board I can make a complaint to? How does water supply company regulation work? I have been on this system for 7 years and I am miserable with my lack of water pressure. Miserable. I feel like I'm taking a shower in an rv 50% of the time and I have a nice home. I'm just fed up.

Most public water supply companies fall under TCEQ regulation. They are required to give 35 psi in most cases.

Is Dog Ridge city of Belton Water, or independent?

I'm sure you've seen this, but in case you haven't, here's their web site..

Looks like they have some customer service contacts, and scheduled board meetings. May want to show up to one of those.

Thanks for the link Pablo. I was too angry last night to search myself. I should go to the meetings but I suspect that they only do the minimum of what's required to get away with their crappy service.

That's 35 psi to the meter. If your house is a long way or way uphill of your meter, that could be working against you.

My home is far from the meter so for the last 7 years we've accepted low pressure. But, all this time our water is randomly turned off and DRWS always says they are working on the lines. This happens several times a year. 2 weeks ago the water barely trickled and when I called to ask when they the water would come back on they were confused and sent the maintenance guy to look at it. The neighbor had the same problems and the maintenance guy said there was a leak in the line somewhere.
From what we've heard the owners don't like to put money back into the business and fix things properly. They like to patch it up and hope it holds. Since they live up the road from me, I would believe that. I'm all for making money but come on.
My frustration Sunday came from the fact that a 7pm I could not give my daughter a bath because my pressure was too low to get hot water from my tankless water heater. The maintenance guy said he still hasn't found the leak in the line. My guess is that finding it/fixing it will cost a lot of money for DRWS. Had we known all this when we built, we would do a lot of things differently. Our ultimate goal is to finish our rain water collection system.

Mazzag-

I'm the consulting engineer for DRWSC, and can fill you in on some details about the system. We are getting ready to do a massive improvement project that will help with the system along FM 2410. Hopefully that's where you're located? PM me if you would like to discuss.
