Because this is just one example of them never advertising anything until the last minute.
But what responsibility did GTA AMC have to advertise this at all?
From what I can tell this was a Hondeaux event. Not an AMC event.
Hondeaux's simply contacted the AMC to let them know about the event, and the AMC posted it on their web site 8 days in advance as a courtesy.
So, basically Hondeaux wanted to sell crawfish at $5 a pound and contacted the AMC in an attempt to drum up business, which is fine...
The AMC didn't sponsor the event, and didn't plan the event, Yet the AMC had some duty to promote the event, and are somehow responsible for the event's poor turnout?
Caveat - if this was an official AMC event, then disregard the above.
But if this was simply a for profit Hondeaux event, open to the public, then I see absolutely no responsibility or duty on the part of the AMC to actively promote the event, nor does AMC have any culpability in the event's failure
Now, I'm not defending the AMC in general. If they aren't doing any events, then they need to step up the efforts.
I don't see how this has anything to do with that though....
