My contract is up middle of next month and TriEagle (my current company) isn't as competitive as some like GreenMountain(surprisingly), unless I get a 3 year contract. I'm not really sure I should sign a 3 year contract, I was maybe even thinking a 6 month contract and then lock in a better rate in December. There are a few companies on powertochoose.org with better rates, but they've got some bad complaint histories, like TruSmart and OurEnergy. Anyone have any suggestions for the Temple area? I use Champion Energy. They're competitive and offer reasonable rates and good customer service. It's the dang delivery charges that kill you. Thats Oncor out here in the country. But most of the carriers are pretty close in price.

Just spend about an hour calling around.

I just switched to reliant. .10 kWH from TXU. 1 year contract. We use less than 1k kWH per month so I really had to search for a plan that wouldn't charge a minimum usage fee.

Happy so far, cut my bill from TXU by $40 a month

I was with Champion for several years. I'm now with Bounce Energy and have no complaints. They allow you to select a specific number of months for your contract. I chose a term that expires when rates typically go down (September?).
