Former basketball coach at Belton passed away yesterday. Just wanted to pass the news along. He was a great guy.

Knew Ed. He was a good man

Got the email last week about the stroke. I wasn't shocked when I got the email yesterday. I didn't know him well, but he seemed to be a good man. Touched a lot of lives. Scary stuff

Knew Ed pretty well from working in the building with him for 5 years. I've been out of town this week and just saw this when I got home. Flabbergasted.

Great guy and honestly one of the smartest, most clever people I've ever met.I think highly of most of the administrators @ BISD but he was one of the best.

I graduated and played baseball with his oldest son, Matt. Didn't have him as a coach, but did have him for physics. He genuinely was a great person. Really cared about teaching and developing high school kids.

I did not know him. But I keep reading what a great coach, teacher, and person he was. I just read c-jags' link. When his son was at Wichita st, he was interviewed about turgeon leaving to come here. You could tell he was upset because turgeon was the main reason he went there. I was impressed that a player from Belton was playing d1 basketball. I'm just rambling.
