Just curious if anyone else has had a bad food experience there

Wife ate there fr lunch yesterday came home and has been sick all night, fever and upset stomach.

It's the only thing that we can point to as different in our diets past 24 hours.

If you eat there be careful.

I was told to only eat there if I like my burger patties paper thin....

I have only had the patty melts and those only twice so I am far from being an expert. The patties on those are indeed paper thin but flavorful and I prefer my meat well done anyway.

It is not as good as SteakNShake but a reasonable copycat.

I did have a belly issue and ran fever after our first visit and kind of decided it was the sautéed onions. I am not new to belly issues.

Freddy's came from San Antonio, which is also now the HQ for Steak n shake, as it is own by Biglari Holdings of SA. SNS is more popular in other parts of the country. the only reason it is showing up in Texas again is Sardar biglari's attempt to get this brand going since a great majority of his fund and wealth is tied-up in it, along with Cracker Barrel.

Freddy's is good for what it is, a california style hamburger. Think In & Out Burger if you want to compare it to something. you can't compare it Whataburger or any other traditional burger joint.
