Who is carrying the SEC channel in Waco? I'm currently with Grande and they have not added it to date.

Same as everywhere else -- Dish, UVerse

Uverse website says not available in 76710..I guess its Dish...

Right now, Dish is the only option.

I'm getting ready to drop TWC for Dish later this month.

TWC just announced it is adding the SECN. Whoop!

They were too slow to keep me.

There are a few things I miss about TWC.

1. Smithsonian Channel
2. H2 and History International, they seem to have the old history channel shows now that the main History Channel has turned into a reality channel.

Things I like better about Dish:

1. Much better guide/interface. It's much faster and I don't get "Please Wait" when changing channels or trying to get the menu. The menu will also scroll fast, it doesn't lag like TWC.
2. I now have a DVR. I'd never considered one before.
3. Much cheaper.

So TWC will have it, but not grande?

Grande has the LHN. Theres no way they dont get the SEC network.

The way I understand Grande got the Longhorn Network is that Grande is the provider for on campus cable at UT. The Texas braintrust didn't want the embarrassment of their channel not being available on campus, so they steeply reduced their asking price to get Grande to carry it.

The sips pay Grande $650k/yr to provide the LHN to the dorms. Considering Grande had slightly over 30,000 total customers at the time, it was a substantial sub to add a channel that they are likely getting for free.

Received an eamil today from Grande saying they reached an agreement to carry the SEC Network..

HELL YEAH!!! I just looked on their Twitter, it is true. They said 877 for HD and 88 for SD

Grande and Directv are both in as of yesterday.

Time Warner will carry SEC network

I noticed today that the channel is actually there with grande!!! It wasn't the day it was announced. Or at least I didn't see it. Oh I'm excited

I was surfing this weekend and noticed that Grande has it on the channel list already.
