Funny story.

Wife and I went to 1424 for date night one day a few years ago. They have a goat cheese flambe type appetizer, well I am a sucker for cheeses and anything on fire.


Turns out, that dish was just enough to send me over the top in regards to gall bladder irritation. Longest night of my life, rolling around on the floor like a bear that ate a pine cone. Next day went to my Doc, got a referral for an ultrasound and a month later was on the filet table having my gall bladder removed. Haven't been able to eat there since.

DB is good. If you want good food, and small town country atmosphere go to Lone Star Steakhouse in bellmead. Food is reasonable price and very delicious...but it's not romantic in the wine and dine kinda way.

135 prime in Hewitt is decent too.. Or just save up , drive to Bryan and go to Christophers like we do once a year for Sunday lunch. Get the apple fork salad as a starter and berries Napoleon for dessert.
