Personally know him. He is a good guy and would be the type of sheriff directly opposite of Parnell's "Texas Sheriff" stereotype . I know several scooter riders that won't vote for him though. This will be an interesting contest.

Well... I'm not a scooter rider (although I'm not sure what that is exactly).... But I've supported Parnell in the past and know the family, so I'll keep supporting them. Swanton would probably do great too, but I have no reason to switch.

Swanton in not a favorite of a segment of the Harley-Davidson community. I am indifferent as to which one wins.

Jus from what I see on the outside it looks like McNamara has really modernized tbe sheriffs dept with vehicles, equipment and appearance.

They seem to be more visible than ever and it feels like he has really tried to make it a more professional dept.
