Mathnasium of Temple has changed ownership... We own both of the centers in Aggieland and we are excited to be purchasing the Temple center.

What does something like this pay?

What kind of hours are required? And how do you define "great" at math?

We work with kids in 2nd grade through high school.
So basic math skills through Calculus is necessary. All applicants will take a math literacy test and have to get 85% to qualify for an interview.
Our hiring process is very rigorous and we are looking for passionate and driven people.

The kids we work with range from "Year Behind" to "Very Advanced", so we want instructors that can engage and challenge them while making them feel safe. Safe from comments like "you should already know this".

Starting pay will depend on the skills and experience you bring to the table. If your interested call us and schedule a literacy test. This is an after school program, so it is part time and we are very flexible. Most of our instructors are college students and we have to work around their classes and exams - most work 8-15 hours a week.

We don't require certifications... we are looking for the kind of people that can be role models for our students!

I've got an engineering degree from A&M, but haven't had to use that level of math in several years. And I do enjoy teaching. I might give y'all a call if/when my schedule opens up a bit. Probably won't be for almost another year though, unfortunately.
