According to KCEN there are several new restaurants that will be arriving.

Verts is fantastic (embrace wrap/sandwich fillings in non-conventional casings). Zaxby's is Lane's on a commercial level. Jersey Mike's is a less crappy sub sandwich, Panera Bread has good soups, and Zaxby's is the SEC answer to Lane's.

Zaxby's is faster service but lower quality chicken, so it's probably a toss up.

Saw that, also mentioned was Mama Fu's. I will say, the one Jersey Mike's in Austin a few years ago, had a decent philly cheese steak. I'm picky about cheese steak, have yet to find one in Texas that compares to up north.

The Mama Fu's in Waco is average. I'd rather go to Pei Wei any day.

yeah, I was the one who put up Mama Fu's going into Bird Creek Crossing in this forum, ( via the Temple Daily fishwrap ). The owners of the center wouldn't comment, but then again they never do when bringing in tenants. Those owners sold the center about 18 months ago, it has changed hands three times since it was built.

Never been to a Mama Fu's

I was driving a friend's kid home from soccer last night and he told me about jersey mikes and I got way excited. I don't go to Belton for food very often, but will now find a reason. Love that place.
