Going to be in Waco and wanted to catch a movie. Anyone familiar with the area have a suggestion for a theater?

You really only have 2 choices that I am aware of. Hollywood theaters on the Woodway side of town or Starplex at the intersection of Frankin Ave and Valley Mills Dr. I would vote for Starplex myself.

There is also a premier cinema... Dollar theater on valleymills and waco drive... But Hollywood in woodway is best option

You also have the Hippodrome downtown, which has been converted into a movie tavern of sorts....beautiful old venue, but limited movie offerings, because only two screens. I have taken my kids there twice and it's awesome.

Avoid Hollywood/Regal. Its absolutely a dump. I think they havent upgraded their theaters since it was built in the 90s. Starplex will be a little busier, but your experience will be much better.

drive the back way to Belton and go to Grand Avenue Theater....you can reserve your seat of choice, order a meal at the cafe', head to your seat and they will bring your meal...it's called curb service! The place is clean, your feet won't stick to the floor! Totally worth the drive!
