Friends truck was stolen, guessing it's in Mexico by now. Best anti theft tools and such to purchase for my truck ?

I drive a 2011 tacoma

I had my 99 superduty stolen. I got it mostly back, when I did I had a Revelco installed. No frills, just a fancy kill switch. These truck models dont even have chips in the keys. I also have a Disklok for whichever truck is in the driveway. I also plan to install a dummy kill switch that goes to a time relay that would activate the horn for 5 min. Eventually I'd like to get something with gps.

Soldered a toggle switch to fuel pump and hid in the ash tray. Vehicle was never stolen but it was also an 89 pathfinder.... but it was the only vehicle I could had

Replaces a relay in your under hood fuse box. Which one depends on the car - could be starer, fuel pump, injector control module, etc.

The relay isn't energized, and the car won't start, until you press the 1 button on the remote. If you press the 2 button, you get 10 starts without needing the remote. Super simple setup and works really well.

I suspect most thieves will move on vs looking under the hood to see if something is funky in the fuse box.
