Recently, I picked up some very faint scratches on each side of my pickup bed. Mild enough that I cannot feel them with my fingernail. I can live with them but I'd rather fix the issue. What is the best OTC product to resolve this myself? Pic below for reference.

Try an auto detailing clay bar with some soapy water. Can get one off Amazon or probably most auto part stores.

If that doesn't work you might have to buff it out.

Toothpaste, not joking.

Put it on there for 10-15 minutes, wipe off with terry cloth.

Do you have a buffer?

This and a Rupes yellow pad should fix that quickly

Don't have one on hand but could pick one up for this job. Any recommendations on brand/model?

I still use a 15yr old porter cable. Works fine for most stuff.

If you have a harbor freight close by, the bauer polisher isn't bad for the money. That area doesn't need much work.

Hard to burn through with that combo but still be careful. That 3D polish has some fillers that might wash out. you can clean the surface with alcohol after you've buffed to see if you got everything. The 3D polish will give you 3-9 months sealant protection also. If you're ceramic coated, you'll have to recoat after using this.

Below I used the 3D, rupes, and PC combo with ~20 seconds of buffing. Light stuff is gone. Some scratches are deeper and need more time. I didn't care since I was wrapping over this but it'll come out with a bit more time

My daughter went to a friend's house last week and dogs jumped all over her black Jeep and scratched the ever living hell out of the passenger door.

Thankfully, the scratches were just to the clearcoat. I used an orbital buffer off Amazon and Chemical Guys V36, V38, and VSS. Three passes and you can't see the scratches without a fluorescent light and keen eye.

Along the OP's lines....my son has an old car. We used some compound and buffed out his paint, along with a wax. Overall, the paint look 1000x better.

Problem is, every little rock ding/pit is now showing up white, because of the compound. It looks like he has a million little dots on the front of his hood.

What's the best way to get rid of that? Rubbing Alcohol?

My wife brushed her brand new MB on a freaking pile of limbs still sitting on curbs all over Houston.
Got a scratch all down the right side. This stuff pretty much made it unnoticieable.
