Much thanks to reproag on the order and smooth process. Family and I picked up the new 2025 Explorer ST last Friday after an early morning trip to the Blue Bell creamery beforehand.

So far, it's a significant improvement over our prior 2014 Explorer Sport. The new Ford Digital Experience in the center stack is awesome. It's able to set different profiles for seat position and tie it to our Google accounts, along with the key and settings.

So when I get in with my key, it knows and set the seat to my position and signs in to my apps, connects to my phone, the accent lighting is my preference, which is all different than my wife's settings and account.

I also have a 2021 F150 with Sync 4 and this seems to be far and away a better solution than Sync.

Looks great. If we didn't have a 3rd kid we would have stuck with the explorer. We had a 2013, and likely would have gone with a 2020+ by now to get back to rear wheel drive bias. Definitely would have gone with the ST.

Just FYI, you have been able to program key fobs to set preferred driver seat, steering wheel, and pedal preferences for 20+ years. Our 03 Expedition and 04 F150 both had that option. This and the keyless entry touch on the handles, plus the code on the door to open without a key are the main reasons I will never switch from Ford at this point.

Since our 2014, they've added the proximity unlock to both front and rear doors, which is a spectacular addition. Call me old school, I find it fascinating to control that level of granularity with a fob and knowing who is getting into the car.

We've had it just under a week now. We're very happy with it. Kids love it with the sunshades for the second row, my wife watched a few minutes of a Friends episode while she waited on a friend last night. No real complaints honestly.

Though, there's a row of buttons underneath the center stack that feel plasticky and cheap. Probably a cost savings for Ford. Don't drive it Eco mode, it's not much savings in gas mileage and the driving dynamic is not great.

Best sleeper on the market right now. Get a light tune and run that thing...
