Does anyone have a contact or positive experience with a sales person at either Genesis of Irving or Genesis of Plano? Looking for a new GV80 for the wife and ready to make a deal.

We bought a used GV70 last month - not from a Genesis Dealer - so I can't help there. However, the AC quit working yesterday(still under warranty) and my wife tried every dealer in the Metroplex to get it in for service. Everyone booked up until mid-November except for Mesquite - going in today.

However, the dealer in Denton played phone tag with her and tried to call back 3 times. Wife finally talked to the Service Person there. In my wife's words, "She was a woman who sounded just like me". The Service person spent 15 minutes on the phone with her and apologized about not being able to get the car in, looked up the VIN to check on service history of first owner, notified her of a recall, told her of a problem their dealership had recently had with the same kind of problem and what to tell the Mesquite dealer about it and registered us with Genesis as the new owners. Any service for Genesis at that dealer goes directly through this woman and nobody else.

I have no idea if their sales force is anything like this Service person, but I do know where our service for this GV70 will go from now on - at least until the warranty is up.

I can get you her name and number - no idea if this will help on the purchase side.

Bought my wife's GV80 from the Denton dealership Frisco is talking about.

Great no pressure experience.

Bought it 3 years ago and the salesman is gone so can't help with a contact.

My wife just had her oil changed for the first time somewhere besides the dealership (she uses the Plano location). When I asked why she didn't use the dealership she said they couldn't get her in until mid-November for an oil change!

My wife just bought a Palisade at Huffines Hyundai Plano, and I'm fairly certain it's also the Genesis of Plano dealer. Our salesman was Tom and he says he sells a lot of Genesis cars: thomas.chu@huffines.net

We already knew what we wanted, they just had to find it (found it in Austin). We're happy with how easy the process was. Tom had an answer for everything we asked.

The Huffines are all Aggies... The sales guy/GM may believe you if mentioned that you saw Ray or Sam Huffines at an Aggie football game and they sent you. I don't think there are too many deals for new Genesis vehicles, though.

I just came back and found this thread and must have missed your post. Interestingly enough, I called Genesis Plano after having a less than stellar experience at Genesis Irving and Tom happened to be the sales guy they connected me with. The ext/int color combination in the trim my wife wanted didn't seem to exist in any dealership's inventory posted online in the tri-state area, but Tom found one to trade for at another dealership. He drove to pick it up today and we are picking it up tomorrow. Sales process was incredibly easy and no BS dealer add-ons. All negotiation done over email and a painless doc signing process with no payment changing hands until the car is here and we actually drive it off.

It's a bummer construction on their new Genesis flagship store is years behind schedule and we had to use the Hyundai store, but it was infinitely nicer and more modern than Genesis of Irving so no big deal. Another recommendation for Tom here.
