Had my turbo go out at 240k kilometers. New one just arrived from the UK. Just looking for someone who can do a pressure test and adjust the waste valve actuator properly once I install the new one. Suggestions? Will post in Aggieland board as well. Engine is a 300tdi

So you took the mile reading on your odometer and converted it to kilometers for this post? Or this was imported?

300tdi, and parts coming in from the UK. I am guessing that this is an imported Land Rover of some sort, and likely has a display in km rather than miles. I can't help on the mechanic recommendation, but an independent rover shop should be able to handle it or know someone that can.

I can help with the sunroof if equipped. It will leak, you will remove everything, replace seals, replace drains, reinstall it and it will leak again. How they can build a car that lives in the UK and not be waterproof amazes me. Car cover and silicone was my solution.

Imported. I didn't feel like doing math

Yep. 97 Defender 110. I've done pretty much all work on it the last 4 years. I just don't have a pressure tester and would rather not mess with adjusting, then driving, rinse - repeat. I'm lazy that way

It is likely slow as hell, but much cooler than our old '99 defender. It was the youngest's first car and I think it has more of my blood, sweat and tears in it than anything else. Even with head gaskets I'm only into it for about $3200, so it is basically my winter beater / four wheeler when it actually snows in Arkansas. I am guessing you have checked all the Land Rover forums for local shops?

"If it was meant to be fast, it wouldn't be shaped like an effing brick".

Nah. Just thought I'd see who the local folks here in College Station like…

Asher out on Hwy 21 east does good work.

I know it's not apples to apples, but if you have regulated air and a vac pump you can pretty much get your gate set properly with that style of gate actuator.

I did this process after upgrading compressor housing/gate on my truck. Followed basically the same process this guy referenced: Wastegate Actuator Adjustment

Makes it easy to do so off the vehicle prior to install!
