Not sure this is the right forum, however I'm looking for an attorney that specializes in Car Accidents and insurance companies. I'm not injured, my claim was just handled very badly by both insurance companies and I'd like to speak to someone to see if I have an actual case or not. Every company I find is all about injuries and I'm not injured.

More about total loss versus fixing and Diminished Value claims.

Thanks!

Small claims court may be your best bet if you can't find an attorney. It has a streamlined process, you have an automatic right to appeal, and often times insurers and the attorneys they hire will recommend a settlement rather than taking a small claims case to trial.

I went through this about 5-6 years ago, OP. Same situation.

Called a couple of local attorneys. They only wanted to be slimy about injuries even though I sustained none. I finally cut one off and told him I only wanted to be made right with my vehicle. He told me there's no way he would be able to help me, collect his 30% (or whatever his fee was), and put me in a better place.

I just handled everything on my own with the body shops and insurance companies. It sucked.

I just found out that my Stepdaughter who just turned 18 is now eligible to sue her ****bag father for her severe life changing injuries she sustained (not to mention killed her brother) in a crash that we have proof that he was driving way over the speed limit.

I was told by attorneys that since he didn't have insurance and has no assets that it would be considered a frivolous lawsuit and thrown out and it's unlikely you'll find an attorney that will not work on contingency.

I was hoping to get a judgement against him so that he has to pay her restitution since he has never taken any responsibility, narrowly escaped indictment, and seemingly has no remorse.

The industry and courts are only interested in cases where there's big money to be made.

We live in a corrupt ****ed up world and it's not getting any better.

A complaint to the TDI has at least gotten an insurance company to drop a lie they were saying about one of my claims a decade ago. My company won in arbitration after that admission, even if the TDI refused to take any action.
